1 to 1 Physical / Virtual Processor Core

In our current Epicor setup we have 1 SQL, 2 App, 1 Web, & 3 Terminal Servers. All Virtual.

When we originally set up the system Epicor recommended we have 1 to 1 matching of Physical Cores and Virtual Cores for our SQL and App Servers.

Does anyone else have their setup like this?

We are on 10.0.700.4 and jumping to 10.1.600.x and I can’t find in any documentation where the 1 to 1 recommendation came from.

Thank you to @aidacra for the answer at Insights. The Hardware Guide does also recommend the 1 to 1 setup.
