10.1.500 Active Directory Authentication

is anyone using active directory authentication in E10.1.500? Looking for opinions on pros and cons for it. My last experience using it was 9, then 10.0.400 and it wasn’t good. Perhaps it’s improved? Thanks for the feedback.

I use it. I don’t have words for it either way, really.
The users like it since they don’t have to remember another password.

E10 to E9 Windows Authentication aka Active Directory are two different beasts completely. E9 tried to manage everything manually. E10 got completely out of the way and let dotNet and Windows handle it. If you have issues, it’s unfortunately as Jose says - 99 issues with AD itself.
AD is wonderful for some of those real old timers like myself that used to deal with what came before. But it’s a beast and overkill for simple SSO. That’s why you see the industry gravitating towards OAuth, Azure Active Directory, OpenConnectID…
forward looking insinuations, safe harbor, views are my own not my employer
