# 10.1.500 migration error - Insufficient Memory in resource pool **Category:** [Epicor ERP 10](https://www.epiusers.help/c/e10/5) **Created:** 2016-11-17 20:38 UTC **Views:** 1361 **Replies:** 4 **URL:** https://www.epiusers.help/t/10-1-500-migration-error-insufficient-memory-in-resource-pool/36349 --- ## Post #1 by @kfierce We just received an error on step 600. Insufficient memory in resource (default or internal) pool. It looks like we have plenty of memory available (128GB on the server). Anyone have any suggestions? Kristine Fierce Business Systems Analyst --- ## Post #2 by @kfierce Changed max server memory to use 8 GB less than what is installed on the server. Restarted the migration and we are onto the next step. --- ## Post #3 by @bw2868bond I had issues getting Epicor to run after I upgraded 10.1.400.19 to 10.1.500.7 The event log revealed there was insufficient memory to run the services. SQL server process had consumed 95% of the server memory during the upgrade. Rebooting the server corrected the problem I encountered No mention of rebooting server found in the upgrade guide…. --- ## Post #4 by @jgiese.wci Always reboot after upgrade (not minor . Patches necessarily but deff a xxx patch). Cleans the pipes. Joshua Giese CTO 920.437.6400 x342 Wisconsin Converting Inc. --- ## Post #5 by @Bart_Elia Oh oh oh! Is this the wcf won't activate because 5% of memory is not available? There are work around for that and something to consider especially on servers with a lot of ram.
