1099 Report builder Help!

Don,

The 1099's are a pain. I set them up in Access 2000. We're on Vantage 4.
I used ODBC to get most of the data, but had to export the contact table and
import it into Access. Some 1099's for companies need to have an individual
person's name on them. We ensured that if this was needed the person was
set up as the primary contact. If it's not necessary, the company should
not have a primary contact or that name will print. To get the proper
spacing for the 1099's, I had to write a bit of VB code in Access to adjust
the length of each one of the 3 cells on the 1099. Not to mention, the
Progress database has a field for which 1099 block the value goes into (1,
7, or 13), but there's no way to set it in Vantage. So I imported all the
data into new tables in Access, modified the 1099 block information, and ran
the report. I used queries to import the tables. If you'd like, I can
email you a copy. Minor adjustments may need to be made because different
printers start printing in different locations. I printed my tests on an HP
LaserJet 4000N, and they turned out great.

Subject: [Vantage] 1099 Report builder Help!

Please Help!
I was wondering if anyone has created a report (report builder) for the
format of the 1099
forms which you can purchase from Epicor. I am in 3.0 and my only option now
is to type each out individually. If their is a more efficient way please
update me .
Thank You!
