2nd Network card speed access?

Jim,

If you get the server version of most brands of NIC's, they have drivers
that load balance across multiple cards. So the answer is yes you get a
speed improvement between the server and what ever device it is connected
to. Note the specific wording of the previous line.

Just like a weak link in a chain you should make sure that the whole network
system is up to a level that would benefit from a faster server link.

I'm aware of the redundancy benefit of adding a second NIC to the
server but
does the 2nd card have a benefit for access speed as well? Any
opinions
appreciated. Thanks
