3rd party program to print mailing labels

Thanks to everyone who responded. It's in the requestor's lap right now
as to which way he'd like to see the data.

Happy New Year !!!

Susan,

Crystal Reports 8.5 has report experts (under file/new) that includes a
mail label template. I just created a test Customer address label report
using an ODBC connection and a pre-defined Avery 5160 address label in
well under 5 minutes. I would be happy to offer any assistance if you
decided to use Crystal.

There has been some interest expressed to print customer mailing labels.
Vantage Help states that you need a 3rd party software for this? If any
of you have experience with this could you please enlighten me?

It seems to me that it might be easier to export the table to Excel or
Word and print labels that way. If at all possible I prefer not to
install another piece of software on a server that is taxed already. I
just need to know which one is easier and who is it easier for? If a 3rd
party software allows the users easier accessibility to print labels
than I would take a look.

Thank you,

Sue

Not seeing other responses I'll jump in with...we print customer labels directly via RB but it could be done with Crystal just as easily. I have a few one time labels I've done by dumping to Excel but I mostly use that route when I want to mail merge into a letter. ODBC to Excel then print via Word would be another route. There might be 3rd party products that make all this a little easier or faster but frankly I can't see the value in them given the free alternatives.
