5.0 POForm losing Releases

Troy,

It is at this point that I give up!

If I had 8.5, I'd probably be trying to solve this one along with you, but
still on 8 here. It does sound a weird problem, especially that certain
reports couldn't be printed with the new dlls.

Looks like perhaps only Crystal themselves can solve this one.

Best of luck.

Well, my mistake. I had replaced two of the three dll's back to the
original. Replacing the third one fixed the problem I created by moving them
in the first place. And if anyone can follow this, you're my hero, cause I
sure can't.

To summarize the current situation: Other workstations can Print PO's fine.
The workstation with Crystal 8.5 loses PO Release Detail for the 2nd and
following PO Lines.

For some reason, ever since moving the 8.5 dll's to Vantage\dll, our
purchasers cannot print PO's nor can Sales Orders be printed. I put the old
dll's back into Vantage\dll and they still cannot print.

If they print preview the PO, it will come up on the screen, then
disappear like it is printing, but it won't come out of the printer. It
doesn't work when they don't use print preview either.

Troy,

Was it working OK on the other workstations before you gave Vantage the
8.5
dlls?

Also, have you re-instated the 8.5 dlls on your own system?

Moving the 8.5 dll's you mentioned to the Vantage/dll didn't help the
POForm
problem on my workstation. The report works fine on other workstations
that
don't have CR 8.5. It still must be a dll problem, though.

I did the other way around (ie. copying the Vantage/dll files to the
c:\epic50\dll working directory), but it didn't help. I'll try your
solution.

Sounds like Vantage is using an older version of the Crystal Report
Engine
than you are using on your development PC.

If I remember rightly, Vantage 4 is built with version 7 Crystal
files,
eManufacturing with version 8. So if you are using a later version
of
Crystal than that which Vantage uses, you need to replace the
Crystal
dll's
in the Vantage/dll folder with those from your development pc.

The three dll's are:

crpaig32.dll
crpe32.dll
p2bxbse.dll

I am still on Version 4. I have crystal 8.5 installed on my
machine.
Ever
since upgrading to crystal 8.5 I have had this same problem, and
it's
with
Quotes, Sales orders, etc. As Troy said, I don't see the details
even
in
the Print Preview. However, if I log in to another users PC
(running
Vantage but they do NOT have crystal installed, therefore they are
using
the
crystal 7 components) everything is fine. Therefore, without doing
much
investigation, I think it is a crystal 8 or 8.5 issue... Any one
have
different results?

In my case, the Release details don't even show up on the print
preview,
or
in Crystal reports when I have the report pointed to the DBF files,
so
it
doesn't seem to be printer problem for us.
Are you saying it prints OK on one printer, but not OK on another?
