Awhile back Todd Anderson had the brilliant idea to make 2-color splash screens for Vantage, which helps speed up the login process a bit - especially when connecting remotely.
Well, it seems Vantage 5.0 uses .gif files instead of the .bmp files of Vantage 3.0 and 4.0. So, I modified Todd's screen, converted it to a .gif, and uploaded it to egroups/files (under Vantage Admin).

Rename the "...\vantage\bitmap\vnlogo.gif" and "...\vantage\bitmap\vnsplash.gif" and then copy each new file and place them into the \Vantage\Bitmap folder.

Alternately, you can open the above files that came with Vantage in a graphics editor and convert them to 2-colors instead of ..whatever they are... and then save them.

You may want to save the old .gif files in case some big-wig comes into your company and you want a flashy splash screen to show them how much $$$ you spent on your current computer system.
