It's my understanding that it makes no difference if the job is engineered, firm or unfirm. If there are material requirements for a job, there will always be PO suggestions. The only way to remove those suggestions is to delete those jobs.

Subject: [Vantage] 6.0 vs. 6.1 Purchasing Suggestions
My engineers are telling me that something has changed here. On 6.0 we
would "engineer" a job to drive purchasing suggestions. Later we would
uncheck the box since it wasn't really completely engineered. Our intent
was to get a jump on ordering raw materials. Since going to 6.1 we are not
seeing purchasing suggestions consistently. Some materials are not getting
ordered promptly or at all.
My thought is that when we run MRP the "un-engineered" jobs go away. My
thought is it is a timing issue between purchasing and engineering. My
engineers disagree saying that it always worked before no matter when they
unchecked it.
Any thoughts on if this logic changed? How do you handle this?
Sincerely,
Mitchell Kirby
