6.1 Dispatch List

Thanks Patrick!
I guess I missed it if it was on the list before - this looks like it's
exactly what I need and I appreciate it very much.

I am wondering if anyone has re-written the Priority Dispatch report or can help me with what I have....
Vantage's dispatch report would be fine except that it shows the load by hours instead of pieces - which really doesn't work for us at all. I rewrote the report to show quantity or # of parts needed, finished and left to make, but the problem with my report is that it lists parts for jobs that are not even thru the previous operation(s) - which would even be fine if I could separate them like Vantage's report into, current, available and expected work....

Any thoughts on how to accomplish that? I can't seem to find anything in the tables that would help me distinguish that.

Thanks - any help is appreciated!

Julie,

I am pasting instructions on how to do this which have been published before
on this list, you will need to do what is called an alias table join from
joboper to joboper again. I hope this helps you.

.........................
The trick to creating this report is to:
Start with the JobOper table.
Filter for active or non complete manufacturing operations.
Create a calculated called CurrentOper = JobOper.JobNumber +
String(JobOper.OprSeq,'9999')
Sort and Group on this field.
Add a Group Footer line on your report for this group.
Add the fields for Job, Oper, Sequence, WC, etc... On this
row.
Create an alias table join from JobOper to JobOper calling it
JobOper2.
Use the company and job fields.
Add a filter for JobOper.OprSeq > JobOper.OperSeq2.
(No you get just the prior operations)
Add JobOper2 fields to the record row such as OperSeq, WC,
operation comlete.
(Make sure record lines have JobOper2 fields not
JobOper) Print Preview The report should show an operation sequence on the
group footer line And all the prior operations listed above it on the record
lines that print.

Now use the previous command in a calcualted field.
PriorComplete = PREVIOUS(JobOper2.OperationComplete)

This should get you pretty close.

Also when the report works just turn off printing record lines and all you
get are the Group footer lines which are the exceptions your looking for.
