6.1 MRP Forecast import

We too are a Harley supplier. I also have to deal with their weekly forecast changes. Currently, I go into Order entry and modify all the releases every week. We are on 6.1x. The production manager goes to their site and prints it out for me. Any shortcuts would be GREATLY appreciated.. We don't have an EDI translator.

Kathy,
We are not a Harley-Dvidson supplier but, we are a GE aviation
supplier. Their order book is probably just as volatile with
gigantic lead times. We have a customization from Epicor based on
the EDI module. We download a CSV file from the GE website, run it
through an MS Access program to get change reports, export it to
a .txt file, and import the data as an EDI 830. The process deletes
requirements no longer there and inserts the new requirements. We
currently run this every Monday. I am considering increasing the run
frequency. Once a week is not always enough.

I am looking for a Vantage MRP user who has Harley-Davidson as a
customer. What I am specificallly looking for is how to manipulate the
forecast from the Harley Order Management website as a CSV file to
import it to Vantage. Currently when I download this file it comes out
in weekly buckets in a format that is not useable for Vantage,
therefore, we have to do a lot of cutting and pasting to get it to a
useable format for import.

Does anyone have a macro or a routine which would make this easier and
faster and would you be willing to share or at least point me in the
right direction.

Thanks in advance.
