6.1 Problem with autonumber of Journal Entries when using Recurring

Last month our Accounting Dept set up our first ever Recurring Journal Entry. The group was set up for the General Journal, however the number that was automatically assinged to the Jounal # was not the next in line for the General Journal, it was the next in line for the Sales Journal.

I have contacted support and they are researching, but I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. Is there a known fix?
