[6.1] Repair Oper with Bad Prod. Std

Be careful with this. It would solve your problem. But other fields
such as earned hours are affected. You will need to check your
costing info and how this is hitting your wip accounts. Before you
post your wip adjust the job.

We have a job we can not close because it has a backwards production standard that causes the time required to exceed the field size. Somehow a standard that shold be hours per 100 pcs got entered as pcs per hour. In this case .128 pcs per hour. For qty 6,100 this becomes over 47,000 hours. The job will not close and eventually the user has to crash their Vantage session. Last time we tried just letting it run as long as it needed it caused the BI file to exhaust the server's disk space crashing everything and corrupting the DB.

Sometimes we can fix one of these by deleting the oper and re-entering it but there has been labor posted to this oper so that option is out.

I noticed a DB Conversion named "Verify/Repair Operation Hours/Costs". Anyone know if this might be a solution for this job/oper? Any other ideas for how to get this job closed?

Although I know that writing to the DB is a no-no, couldn't this be
handled via a simple Update SQL statement?

Obviously I'm not a vantage guru, but most DB's normalize out to a
certain level and records are affected by a simple change like this can
be identified.

We have a job we can not close because it has a backwards production
standard that causes the time required to exceed the field size.
Somehow a standard that shold be hours per 100 pcs got entered as pcs
per hour. In this case .128 pcs per hour. For qty 6,100 this becomes
over 47,000 hours. The job will not close and eventually the user has
to crash their Vantage session. Last time we tried just letting it run
as long as it needed it caused the BI file to exhaust the server's disk
space crashing everything and corrupting the DB.

Sometimes we can fix one of these by deleting the oper and re-entering
it but there has been labor posted to this oper so that option is out.

I noticed a DB Conversion named "Verify/Repair Operation Hours/Costs".
Anyone know if this might be a solution for this job/oper? Any other
ideas for how to get this job closed?

Thanks,
