Todd,
Make sure you have the port entered in the Services file in
Windows. Path: "C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\Services"
Example: epic52 5200/tcp #Vantage
epic52sbx 5220/tcp #Vantage SandBox - Offline database
epic52trn 5210/tcp #Vantage Training database

vnsplash.gif splash screen. Where is it set as to which splash
image gets used? I have searched for all files in the Epicor folder
containing mfgsplash-gs.gif as text and found only mfg.exe and an
install log file. If I could find out why it uses a different image
it might be an important clue.

server. So far I've been able to slog through all sorts of issues
(ports, db name, etc...) and have the DB running. I copied the
Test.mfg file from the the support answerbook article and made the
necessary drive letter changes. But when I try to run it it just
displays the splash screen then goes away. If I look at a copy of
the mfgtest61.lg it shows I logged in then right out - as if the
login screen never displayed and then timed out.
