Dan, You need to stop the Sysmonsvc.exe process that is running on the
client workstation before you copy the files over.

Dan,

Have you tried to copy the "Client" folder from the Server into your
MfgSys folder on the actual client machine. Allow overwrite of
existing "Client" folder. I have had similar issues running in a
Windows environment. I am currently running in a Citrix environment
where I have created even different workarounds. Copying the folder
down to the client ususally takes care of these issues. As for the
new installs, it sounds like you got the install in but missing
something. I would try to copy here also.

Hope this helps.

Help!

Currently piloting 8.0.305 recently applied patch I. Having problems
updating / installing new clients. Trying to upgrade clients that had
patch level C installed. When launching the app. I received a access
violation on the autoupdate.exe file on 2 out of 7 clients. Doing first
time client install on 4 other clients when trying to start 3 out of 4
return: Failure to launch Epicor.mfg.menu.main.dll or one of its
dependencies not found. When I copy in the referenced Dll into the local
client803/client folder the login screen flashes briefly and nothing
happens. I have checked entries in the database log file on the server
with no errors posted. All clients are XP SP2 all work at client done
using local admin account. All clients using the same anti-virus and
firewall. Have compared local folder permissions on a problem machine
against a good machine and they seem to be the same. I have talked with
support a few times. Anyone else had a similar problem?

Thanks,

You would need to run UninstallSysmonSvc.bat in the client folder first....
