8.0 questions

I don't think that's the case. We are a new vantage user just starting a v8
implementation. We have the training database up and running and we only
have 1 server.

Hello all. At the VMUG meeting that I attended in Chicago on Fri, Feb18, I
thought I understood someone to imply that for 8.0 you would need to load
your vantage db on one server, and have another server to be used as your
app server. Does this sound right? If so, I am interested in the details.

My understanding was that they were recommending a new server for 8.0
vantage db and then you could use the old 6.x server for the app server.
Otherwise depending on the size of your new server box you could run the
vantage db and the app server together.
