8.03.400 BAM question

Have done it once so far myself. I have listed out my set of instructions
and it went without a hitch the first time.
Based on our Database (under 1GB) the conversion time using my laptop with
all the version installed is about 6 hours total.
So...I will run though the process again this weekend and likely every other
weekend until Nov. 4 Go Live, and if the results are similar, I will be
doing it myself.
I will be sure to post the results to the group as I continue.
Wish me Luck,
Aaron Hoyt

Just curious if you are doing that data conversion your self ....or having
Epicor do it....

Ok, as I work into 8.03 (yes we are planning a conversion from 6.1 and a
go
live of Nov. 4) I have some questions about the functionality of the BAM.
1. Can you use the run autoreport function and pass parameters to it (for
instance current table, record, etc.)?
2. Can anyone give me an example of using the BAM .p function to export
data to an XML and what contents get exported?
3. Is the .p run from the server and are the functions of 6.1 still
available (OUTPUT TO, DOS SILENT...)
I appreciate any suggestions.

PS. Our Data conversion (6.1 - 8.00.11 - 8.03.305 - 8.03.403) is greatly
simplified by the fact that we only use Work Centers (Resource Groups) and
not Machines (Resources) at this time. We also make to order and have next
to nothing for BOMs so things are further simplified. I am still trying to
figure out why though in contrast to others who's database has ballooned
in
the conversion that our Database has gone from ~ 950Mb to ~850Mb yet no
data
has been discovered missing yet.
