# 8.03.409C Progress - 20 minute delay for on hand qty updating **Category:** [Vista/Vantage 8](https://www.epiusers.help/c/vantage-8/8) **Created:** 2017-01-04 14:48 UTC **Views:** 773 **Replies:** 4 **URL:** https://www.epiusers.help/t/8-03-409c-progress-20-minute-delay-for-on-hand-qty-updating/36779 --- ## Post #1 by @AdamWhipp We had this problem a year ago, and it lasted almost 2 days and then cleared up. Now it is back. When we are going inventory transactions (job receipt to inventory, issue material to job, etc), we can see the transaction instantly in Transaction History Tracker, so the PartTran table is getting updated immediately. However, the on hand qty will be wrong for about 20 minutes and then suddenly update itself. So it is like there is a 20 minute delay on the partbin table getting updated. I opened a ticket with Epicor last year, and again today, but last time they were less than useless at helping track this down. So I was curious if anyone else here has ever seen this issue before. I'm not sure where to start looking because I don't know what type of process updates the partbin table (database trigger, progress program, etc). If anyone has seen this or can point me in the right direction, it would be much appreciated! Thanks! Adam --- ## Post #2 by @dkollmann Hi Adam, I had similar complaint yesterday. We are on the same version. Thinking it may have something to do with locking inventory. It corrected itself just as you had seen. Don --- ## Post #3 by @jhawt I've seen this on v8 and it always started right after the new year started. Epicor told me to restart the server and it would stop on until Jan 1 of the next year. It happened two years in a row, so now that company just has it on the schedule to reboot the Vantage box every new year. --- ## Post #4 by @AdamWhipp LOL I just noticed it was Jan 4, 2016 when it happened last year for us too. I'm glad I'm not the only one! If it doesn't snap out of it, I will plan a server bounce. Thanks, Adam --- ## Post #5 by @AdamWhipp I did just get the official answer from Epicor: "The previous year is stored in some records which can get hung up resulting in slower processing in the new year, taking approx 15 - 20 minutes to update. A server reboot refreshes the year and should clear this issue up." So I guess that is what I'll do!
