8.803.407 Engineering BOM levels question

Thanks, UD20.Number07 is actually the sequence number as a numeric,
which maintains the correct sequence. I had the field label assigned
as "Sort Order" in the BAQ, but had it hidden in the grid view for
some reason.

Does anyone know if there is a field in a table such at PartMtl that
tells us what level a required material is within a BOM
Example - a part has 2 manufactured parts and 6 purchased components.
The 2 manufactured parts have their own components.
Where is the level number of a BOM material identified?
We are trying to build an indented BOM report an avoid looping through
the partmtl table over and over again.

Thanks,

Pam -

I ended up having to fill UD20 with the results from the
EngWorkBenchService.ViewCosts method in order to get the level (it also
returns a BOM Sequence field which can be used to keep your BOM in
order). I saved a copy of the customization in the Files section under
Vantage 8.x Customizations – IndentedBOM.zip if you want to take a look
at it.

P.S. Many thanks to bw for the original customization! It saved me
TONS of time!

Kirstin,

I noticed that the grid view did not display the correct sequence due to how
the grid sorts the Sequence number. I edited your new load report and made
a calculation field to add the zeros ahead of the lower numbers to make it
sort in order.
