If you are trying to make it an all in one, but you need to communicate with
only itself and no clients, then there is one easy way, although it's easier
on a stand lone server.
However, you can try giving that server a new IP address on a new IP Scheme,
and then make a host file entry with the server name and new IP address in
it since that is looked at first before DNS.
You can also use an MS Loopback adapter and shut off all other NICS and
connections local to the server and give it an IP address so that it doesn't
need to go anywhere but back to itself.

Subject: [Vantage] 9.04.506C test environment
Wanting to install the 507 service pack, but needing to test it first, I
built a virtual server with an image of our current 506C server, but I can't
login with the E9 client. It looks as though the server actually needs to
talk to "the network", even though it's referencing back to itself. Is there
any way to create a virtual test environment in E9?
