Subject: [Vantage] Re: 9.05.607b autoconsume

We had some trouble getting the auto consume stock to work. We ended up using view/plan as assembly with auto consume stock and it would plan it properly. It was not obvious that the parts were being pulled from stock though. The unfirmed assembly made it look like it was going to make parts from scratch, but drilling down into the actual work showed the correct split of making new versus pulling from stock. However, once the unfirmed planned jobs were made firm, there is a bug (SCR 92971) with this combination that was fixed in 700. Time phase gets messed and it thinks it's making too many parts and makes a suggestion to reduce quantity.

My understanding is if it is a nonstick part and there is quantity on hand even if it is a view as assembly/pull as assembly it will pull parts from stock rather than build it as a sub in a job. So when I get details, schedule the job I have a sub with parts on hand and it isn't assigning any pull quantity on the job under the assembly tab...
