9.05.700c TimePhase Modification to subtract off Job Shipments

Thanks Josh, I will check it out. We are moving from 6.1 and Fulfillment
workbench wasn't an option.

Are you using the time phase to identify when you need more stock? I
would
possibly consider an alternate method for planning if you are shipping
parts from jobs and from stock. Possibly the fulfillment workbench.

All,

Is this possible with existing tools that are available with Epicor 9?

I build all my customer parts to STOCK and monitor with Time Phase.
When I move parts from a JOB into STOCK, Time Phase reduces the RECEIPTS
and adds it to STOCK. <Great>

Receipts Requirement
Balance
On-Hand Quantity 30,000
30,000
Job: V057037 50,000
80,000
SO: 21558/1/1 40,000
40,000

I would like to ship strait from a Job WITH OUT placing items in
Inventory but Time Phase doesn't reduce the job Receipt, it' just
reduces the Requirement, the end result is the time phase balance is
off.

Is there a BPM or Something that can be made to reduce the JOB RECEIPT
quantity in Time Phase to also add shipments off the Job?

How do I start with what I have found about Jobs and receipts and shipments
-

1.) If you make a job to stock - and the Warehouse in the Summary area
- is finished goods - and you receive it to MRB - because you didn't receive
it to Finish Goods - it doesn't decrease the WIP Quantity.

2.) If you make a job to stock - and then decide to ship from this job
- MFG-CUS - it does not decrease the WIP quantity.

Both of these are basically a receipt (or decreasing WIP) and should reduce
WIP.

We have created BAQ for job closing to get these jobs close ASAP.

I hope this helps or starts a discussion. Don't even get me started on
operations where you are testing a sample - let say .10 as the operations
UOM.

So basically if your Manufacturing to Stock, Regardless of what the
system screens appear to let you do like ship from a job, you have to
transfer items to inventory, then ship from inventory otherwise part
trans running quantity and time phase balances are off.

Wonderful. MFG-CUS Transactions are only for NON-STOCK made direct
parts.

How can I change the calculation on TimePhase Receipts or Better Yet
Create my own BALANCE column?

Has anyone create their own Time Phase?

The other suggestion would be to use MRP suggestions if you get them.

I have a custom timephase developed in Access that could do this (in
Vantage 6)... However, it's not a straight report out of the system; it
requires a number of temp tables to be developed and takes about 30
minutes to generate.
