Hey Michael,
We're in the middle of the same upgrade, 9.04.507A to 9.05.702A (just got the patch yesterday). When I first converted my database to the 702 patch, about 30% of my customizations required re-writing of some type. BAQs and BAQ reports converted with far fewer problems (90% or better worked straight up), but most of my modified RDD reports needed medium to major work.
Think of it as tech support job security.
