Absentee and Tardiness

We do something similar. We add a labor entry for the day with the
appropriate indirect code. We then filter those codes out of our
payroll data that gets sent to ADP. We can also then easily report on
those indirect codes.

Is there a place in Vantage that can keep track of excused and unexcused absents and tardiness?

Currently, when a person has an unexcused absent or tardiness, they have to inform HR who keeps track of this in a separate system. Is this possible to keep track in Vantage?

Thanks,
Jasper

We don't really use the Indirect Codes (We're on version 5) So I set up
appropriate diciplinary codes under Indirect. Added a "00000- diciplinary"
workcenter. We have a point system so I put a point value at the begining
of the indirect code description (+1.00 Excused Absenc) I also set up a
"00000 - diciplinary" Expence code with no GL relationship.

When an employee has a disciplinary event. The supervisor goes into labor
entry, adds an Indirect labor detail, selects the Indirect labor code and
the disciplinary workcenter.

I've got labor reports to process the point values by parsing out the the
point value. the "+" and "-" at the start of the point value adds or
subtracts points. It works fine as long as its kept up to date.

How do you handle a person who is absent? They wouldn't have a labor
head record for that day.
