Hi Everyone!

This is for all the Access gurus out there...

I created an Access 97 database that I use for multiple Vantage db consolidation
by linking dbase tables generated by utilizing the Vantage Export utility.

After upgrading to Access 2000 I can no longer LINK these dbf files in this
consolidation database. When I try to link (or to import) these tables I get
the following message:

'' is not a valid name. Make sure that it does not include invalid characters
or punctuation and that it is not too long.

All my Vantage Exports conform to the 8.3 naming convention (e.g. LABook.dbf,
TXBook.dbf).

This worked like a charm in Access 97 but not in Access 2000 for some reason.

Any insights would be GREATLY appreciated!

Thanks!
