While attempting to clear the Epicor Kinetic client cache, I encountered the following error:
Access to the path ‘C:\ProgramData\Epicor\hostname.domain.com-443\5.0.100.0\BrowserCache\CertificateRevocation\10048’ is denied.
I have ensured that I have administrative privileges on the machine, but the issue persists. This error prevents clearing the client cache and may impact normal application behavior.
Could you please guide me on the steps to resolve this access issue?
Can you simply delete that folder outside of Epicor? (close Epicor first) It will get recreated when you go log back into Epicor. Trying to delete it outside of Epicor will probably get you to the problem file which probably just requires permission to delete. (No, I don’t know WHY such a file would exist, just that it probably does )
It is a hidden folder, so you will want to show hidden files. It’s safe to delete anything under the Epicor folder inside there, it’s mostly just cache and what isn’t get’s recreated.
While investigating the recent client cache issue, I noticed the folder path:
C:\ProgramData\Epicor<Environment>\5.0.100.0\BrowserCache\
Could anyone please confirm the specific role and purpose of this Browser Cache folder,
From initial checks, it appears to be used by the Epicor Kinetic client’s embedded browser for caching and certificate validation — but I’d like to confirm if this is correct or if it serves any additional function.
