We are looking for the following position - it would be an excellent

Seal Science, an Irvine, CA based aerospace design and manufacturing
company is seeking an accounting/finance associate. This position
will be similar to a controller position, with financial analysis. We
are currently implementing an ERP conversion, and are looking for an
aggressive financial person to spearhead the accounting activity.


Summary:
Accounting/Finance Specialist is responsible for accounting
activities relating to the maintenance of a complete and accurate
general ledger, cost accounting, managerial reporting, and financial
statements. Duties include, but are not limited to:


· Experience in traditional General Ledger accounting including
month-end close and preparation of consolidated financial statements,
reconciliation and analysis; including related supporting schedules
and variance analysis and interpretation of operating results, at
entity, project and consolidated levels. Must have a working
knowledge of US GAAP to ensure communication of financial information
in compliance thereto.

· Ability to prepare accurate, timely and consistent monthly
financial statements/internal reporting packages including
statistical information and complex reconciliations requiring logical
thinking and attention to details.

· Ability to accurately employ cost accounting standards to
evaluate internal profitability, and provide product costing for
internal and external auditing

· Inventory analysis

· Preparing recurring and period-end journal entries for the
reporting and allocation of income and expenses associated with
assigned areas

· Preparing period-end, quarter-end and year-end financial
reports for internal and external review

· Reviewing and commenting on financial variances, including
income and expenses associated with assigned areas.

· Assisting management with compilation of the Company budget.

· Assisting auditors with year-end working papers

· Assisting accounting clerks with problems and questions

· Oversee A/P and A/R functions

· Bank deposits and reconciliation



Skills/Qualifications:

To be considered for the position the following minimum education and
experience levels are required:

· Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics with an
Accounting Concentration

· 4+ yrs of Accounting, GAAP Accounting, Audits, Reconciliations

· Candidates with CPA certification will be given a priority.

· Effective Communication skills both written and verbal

· Comprehensive knowledge of Excel, at an expert level
