Add New Custom .rpt

To modify one of the standard crystal reports (not a BAQ report): In
Report Styles (under Company Maintenance), find the report you're
copying from (SOBacklog) and add a new report style to it, with your new
.rpt filename. Copy the other information from the "Standard - Crystal"
style. You can then choose that new style in the print screen (or make
it the default). There's a bunch of other possibilities, but if you're
just tweaking the layout, that's enough.

I am using 9.05.600b and am new to the sofware. I made a report and placed it in reports/customreports. Does anyone happen to have the steps for adding the report documented?
You can't just make an RPT and drop in the folder, you have to have a
DataSet defined for it and a process / menu to call it, start with BAQ
Report and work your way there.

If its just a copy with some layout mods field changes with existing
data, or if you added new fields and reconciled them with the RDD, then
under system/company/report styles, search for your report, then add a
new style (don't overwrite the default) and add your new report. See
the help menu for further details
