I just had a user with this same problem. They had their menu set to "tree
view". I think that if you change that setting the person will be able to
add to favorites.

I have a user who right clicks to set a program to their favorites, gets the
explorer dialogue.
I checked his permissions, which are OK.
I tried it on my PC and was able to add to favorites. I then logged into his
profile on my PC
and experienced the same problem.....only the explorer dialogue was
available.
I logged back into my profile, and still, the "add to favorites" was not
available.
I had to log off vantage totally before the functionality was available on
my PC.
Has anyone experienced this?
