# Adding a ProjectPhaseCombo to a form **Category:** [Epicor ERP 9](https://www.epiusers.help/c/e9/7) **Created:** 2017-01-03 18:26 UTC **Views:** 801 **Replies:** 2 **URL:** https://www.epiusers.help/t/adding-a-projectphasecombo-to-a-form/36767 --- ## Post #1 by @bbockius Hello! I need to add a Project Phase combobox to the "Lines" tab of Order Entry. Ideally it would work exactly like the "Proj. Phase" dropbox on Job Entry: the user would first select the Project (in the existing "Project ID" field), and the dropbox would load with the available phases for that project. The results would be saved to a UDF in OrderDtl in my case. Looking at Job Entry, they've used a Epicor.Mfg.UI.Controls.Combos.ProjectPhaseCombo control to do that... which sounds like just what I need, but I can't figure it out. I've copied all the properties from the ProjectPhaseCombo on JobEntry to my new ProjectPhaseCombo on Order Entry, but it doesn't load the list of phases for a project when one is selected (and, frankly, I don't understand how it works on Job Entry... how does it know when Project ID has changed?). Has anyone re-used a ProjectPhaseCombo, or have any tips on how it works? Thanks & Happy New Year, -Bruce --- ## Post #2 by @tkoch Here is how I setup a project phase combobox. --- ## Post #3 by @bbockius Thanks for the reply! I tried using exactly your properties (which were very close to mine anyways), but it still doesn't update the list of phases when the project is changed. Actually the list is always empty. Is there some sort of "notification" I have to "subscribe" it to so it knows when the project changes? Or is that supposed to be done automatically by the (not understood by me) EpiFilter of "ProjectID = '?{ProjectIDColumn,''}'" and EpiFiltersParams of "ProjectIDColumn=?[ProjectID]"? -Bruce --- **Canonical:** https://www.epiusers.help/t/adding-a-projectphasecombo-to-a-form/36767 **Original content:** https://www.epiusers.help/t/adding-a-projectphasecombo-to-a-form/36767
