Adding Crystal To Menu (V6.1.536)

Thanks,

I am able to add compiled reports through the favorites bar without any
problems, I was just trying to use another feature of Vantage that I
haven't previously used.

Chris,

Will adding the Crystal Report to your Vantage Favorites bar work for
you? If yes, then first compile your report.(Note: check 'Include
DLLs for exporting' option when compile your report.)

Open Vantage, right click on your Favorites bar, select Item
Maintenance. Favorites Group Item Maintenance screen appears. Click
Add. For Type select Windows Program. For File click the magnifying
glass and find your compiled Crystal Report(.exe). For Description
type something meaningful for the user. After that new icon will
appear in the Favorites bar.

If after the clicking the icon nothing happens, go to the folder
where exe file is saved(I usually save all my Crystal reports in the
YourNetworkDrive:\mfgsys61\USERFORM folder), find the 'setup' file
and run it. After that it should work fine.

How do I add a Crystal Report (8.5) as a menu item for Vantage 6.1.536?
I have tried using the example from the help files to create the .w but
can't get it to run and receive the following error message.

**Unable to understand after - "Define Variable". (247)

**Unable to understand Define statement. (267)

** V:\mfgsys61\ud\udpayrollemployees2.w Could not understand line 1.
(198)

What do I need to modify in the .w file to get this to run?

DEFINE VARIABLE "V:\mfgsys61\ud\PayrollEmployees.exe" as CHARACTER
NO-UNDO.

DEFINE VARIABLE ReturnCode AS INTEGER NO-UNDO.

PROCEDURE WinExec EXTERNAL "KERNEL32.DLL":

DEFINE INPUT PARAMETER ProgramName AS CHARACTER.

DEFINE INPUT PARAMETER VisualStyle AS LONG.

DEFINE RETURN PARAMETER StatusCode AS LONG.

END PROCEDURE.

Thank you,
