If you did this in Crystal, you could Create a formula which would extract the matching part of the job number (less the -rw part) such as Left({JobNum},4). Then create your Job Group on the Formula rather than just the Job Number. This will lump job 1234 with 1234-rw into the same group. That way you can combine SUM calculations for the group.
Just an idea.

Subject: [Vantage] Adding field info of different Record lines
Hello Group,
maybe someone out there can help with this.
I have a job costing ratio report that list the closed jobs by date range.
Each record line shows the total cost of the job and the sales dollars and gives a ratio. Here is the problem I have, we create a seperate job in vantage for the rework.
It has the same job number as the original job except it has a -rw after it. On reports the rework job will show up immediately under the original job. This is good and all costs of the original job and the rework job appear on the report together. The problem lies in that I have to manually calculate the parent job and rework job costs together and ratio to sales dollars on the report. sometimes there are several rework jobs on each report and can get time consuming. Is there a way to get this done by calculations and conditional printing or something automatic when the report is ran? I'm not sure how to go about this. maybe an if statement when a job with "-rw" shows to perform calcualtions? maybe not, oh well, thanks in advance
anyway.
