Hi All,
I have a sub assembly number 1 and it has 100 parts
Each part is different, in material and thickness
I want to add these 100 parts to a sub assembly 1 and I want to add the material to each part.
If I add the material and parts to the sub assembly and look at this a week from now, I cannot tell which material goes with which part.
Do I have to open each part in eng workbench add the material then set the part as pull and view in subassembly 1?
Or is there a way to add the material to the part with out using eng work bench
Are they parts that are direct children of Assy1, manufactured (you buy the material to make each one of them) or purchased (they come in and are the material sepcified by their (the childs) part number?
Or are you trying to make the children kind of generic “1/4-20 Bolt” without a specified material. And then you want the BOM for Assy1 to include the P/N for “1/4-20 Bolt”, but then somehow specify that you want the 316 stainless steel version of it?
