ADJ-CST on INS-STK

Why does Epicor create an ADJ-CST when moving from INS-STK? the amounts in the ADJ-CST are same as standard, and no variance, though the reference on it says “Inventory variance”
What is this transaction?

Coming out of inspection may have caused a change in the cost.

INS-STK should be moving the costs from the DMR accounts to Inventory. If that is the case and you are standard costing the parts, the cost will be adjusted to reflect the standard cost of the part.

Thanks Charlie,
This means the ADJ-CST would always happen regardless of cost difference, just as a matter of accounting?

I would look at the PUR-INS transaction to see what went into DMR and compare that to the INS-STK and examine any differences.

Can you paste the transaction history you are describing so I can make sure of my comments?

I don’t believe there should be adjustment transactions normally. That is why I would like to see them.

Publicly or privately. Whichever you wish.
