I am on 10.2.600.23
I have some labels that get printed on a label printer. I don’t want the users sending them to their regular printer so I setup an advance print routing to send them to the correct printer.
I works right when they click print preview, it goes straight to the label printer.
but if they select print, then client printer, then Ok without selecting the label printer. It goes to the default printer that first comes up.
Is their a bug or did I not set something up right?
Welcome!
It sounds like the routing may not be set up correctly. Can you post a screenshot of the flow?
They must be saying “No” to running the routing as what you have should work. I have instructed all our employees on what a routing is and what to do when they see one. Beyond communication, I do not know of any way to force the routing to run every time. You might be able to use a Data Directive, but I am not sure.
Sorry I could not be more help. Hopefully someone else on here has a trick.
At the workstations I checked the “Don’t show this dialog again” so they don’t have the option of clicking No.
I believe that is a user preference, so if they are logging in with different user names, it would not stick.
Also, they can uncheck the routing. Any chance they are doing that?
Also… Go Lions!
No, this is something that I just set up, so I am the one doing the testing to make sure it works before I start telling employees about it.
I was looking for the SSRSEnableRouting, just making sure it was flagged to use routing after you selected “do not show again.”
