I’ve recently setup for using backflushing.
After a few issues with hierarchy etc… it seems to now work.
My next issue is that when doing some tests to check part transactions after the backflush, I find that some are pulling incorrect quantities. This seems to only occur on the same part each time, I’ve checked this part against another that is working and so far have found only a few minor differences.
- It is a sub-assembly, although other sub-assemblies work.
- It has a quantity per parent that is greater then 1.
- The quantity per of the sub-assembly part is greater than 1.
For example:
Parent part requires 1 of the sub-assembled part, which in turn has 2 components, component A has a qty per of 1, component B has a qty per of 2. Therefore component A should have part transaction of 1 and component B should take 2, it actually take only 1.
If the parent needed 2 of the sub-assembled part each with 2 component B, it should equate to taking 4 of component B. This again only takes 1 in the transaction history tracker.
It doesn’t seem to be able to cope with doing the multiplication.
In the job the parts that have this error occur seem to always have little light blue dot next to them?
Any tips would be gratefully received.
Thanks,
Mark.
