Allow adding Ship To without access to Customer Entry

Support told us that there would be the ability to manual type ship to
address without entering it in the customer master. We have customers
that continue to drop ship and its just a pain when you have to have go
into the customer master and add ship to's.

Is there a simple way to just let Shipping people add or modify existing Ship Tos, but not give them access to Customer Entry?
Seems like such a simple common thing, I hate to take spend time to edit a custom Customer Entry form if there's a simple way.
Thank you.
I'm not sure I understand why a custom form is that difficult. The only thing you would do for the custom form is delete the fields you don't want this population to be able to access. It sounds like a 15 to 30 minute exercise.

All you would have to do is make the other tabs grayed out....

The custom form is not difficult, it is just time consuming.

I wanted to make sure there is not some obvious simple way to allow adding a ship to address or contact to a customer without giving that person access to the complete customer master.

Even if I limit fields on Customer entry, I can't change the New-> menu, so I have to run through a dozen GetNew... methods to make sure the BPM is set to raise exception based on group membership, and so on.

It is not a simple 15 minute exercise.Nothing in Vantage is ever simple, or 15 minutes.
Exercise, yes, but not simple. :)

Can we un-gray the ship to field in customer order entry?

If your are speaking of the actual display in Sales Order Entry of the
actual Address then Yes, you can change Read-Only from TRUE to FALSE. But
what is your goal. Every time the Sales Order get updated or refreshed it
will read the Ship To Id and pull back in the address from the Ship To table
and when the Order is pulled into say Customer Shipment Entry, it will read
the Ship To ID and pull that address in from the Ship To Table.
