Alternative to Buddy Punching - 6.1

I feel your pain. We had the same situation and ended up dumping the
biometric clocks and instead
installed clocks that read a proximity badge. Each employee has a
proximity badge that allows access to
the building and the clocks read the badge for clock-in, clock-out
transactions. A company called Unitime
worked with casi-rusco to create this clock for us.
Obviously, employees can let each other in the building, but they must
use their badge for labor transactions.
We only use this system for time and attendance....not for vantage job
costing.
hot this helps.

Subject: [Vantage] Alternative to Buddy Punching - 6.1

Hi, Group. My company uses biometric clocks (finger scanning - better
than digital prints) to avoid buddy clock punching. The performance of
the clocks, software, and service are far from desirable. To dump the
biometric system, I am thinking of installing data collection systems
and have a digital camera take a picture of the person punching in. The
manual process is to check that the digital picture and the Vantage
employee match. Any body having something like this in place or other
ideas to avoid buddy clock punching? Thanks!
