AMM Material Queue Transactions

Yeah, I remember you saying something like that before and that is where I
came up with the idea to have an auto print for each transaction to serve
as notification to the material handler that materials need to be moved.
We would like to come up with something that pops up on their HH for new
transactions of a specific type though. I would definitely be interested
in taking a look at this module you speak of though. What is this module
called? When did it come out? We purchased AMM a little over a year ago
but it wasn't ever mentioned.

josh,

i hear your pain, there is a very inexpensive module available by epicor
that i helped conceptualize to make this a bit more manageable. our
material handlers simply scan the jobnum on the traveler and then select
the partum and it finds the last queue created automatically which allows
then to process it with ease. basically it's called a job tracker module
for the hand held. not plugging epicor, but for us it addressed what
sounds like a similar problem for you.

Hi,
I am trying to figure out the best way for us to process material queue
transactions and I would like to see how others are dealing with it. We
are in 9.05.700b2.
First of all the material queue is a disaster to navigate through on the
HH module. We created a list view customization so that we can sort
transactions as we want to see them but this is not ideal especially since
it doesn't always save the transactions selected by users.
Does anyone have a way of auto assigning transactions to certain users? Is
there anyone that uses warehouse teams? I read about it briefly in some of
the training material but I was told by a consultant that it doesn't work
the way it is supposed to so we didn't go into much detail on it. Does
anyone process by queue ID? I thought about having tags print out for the
transactions as soon as they are requested but I am now thinking that
there must be a better way than that as well. Speaking of requests... has
anyone built requests into operations as to have materials auto requested
when an operation is scanned into? Does the material have to be on that
operation or can you have it request materials for a later operation?

All help and suggestions are much appreciated.
Regards,
Josh
