The DCD Classic field named JHTITL (described in their hardcopy docs as
"ADDL JOB DESC") is twenty-five alpha characters starting at position 76
and ending at position 100. It is contained in the file called
"JHEAD.D" Please refer to the 1-2-3 file I sent last week which shows this.
I have to side with Charles on this one-there's no Vantage equivalent.
Further, when Messrs. Bollemeier, et al, performed my conversion from
Classic, they concatenated Job to Lot with a "/" character. I have NO
problem with that. We continue to use the same job-numbering system even
now (YY-JJJJ/LOT). When I started with the company, we were using 3xxx job
numbers (14 years ago). Now, we're up to 8xxx.
Hope This Helps.
