Another "record modified by another user" error

Hi Carey,



I've been away for a week and am just catching up on my email. We often
run into the problem since we switched to Vantage 8.03. I have found
that it sometimes helps to open the offending record and hit the save
button before making any changes. Once the record has been saved I can
make changes and save it without getting the error.

I have been using payroll for some time. However, we need to make
adjustments for deduction values on some of the employee pr records.
Every one of them worked fine, except one. When I attempt to change the
value, it tells me the record is being modified by another user, and I
can make no changes to it. No one else is accessing the record. I have
logged out and on, and rebooted the entire server, but to no avail.
Does anyone have any ideas on this one?

If this is isolated to one record, this solution might not be
plausible, but if your seeing this happen more often, a "Dump and
Load" might help.

Thanks, might try that.
FYI, every other time I see this, I hit refresh and enter the data again, and it takes it and I move on.
However, this one record I can not seem to get around is a single DEDUCTION record for one EMPLOYEE. That's it.

Do you happen to have a documented procedure on how to do the dump and load?
