We are in the middle of implementation and several members of our project team are interested in discussing Multi Company experiances and advice from other companies that use the module and has a similar structure to our own:
We have one Tax ID, but need to financial report on companies we have aquired, so each aquisition is it's own company and they all ultimately consolidate up to our LLC Consolidation Company, including a European company which also has to do European Reporting. US operations are manufacturing & distribution and European operations are distribution only.

Rick, We are using Multi company with central payment. Parent company holds Tax ID and purchases can be made by child company and the AP and AR flow to the parent to cut the checks. Inter company process sends batches between the companies. I would be willing to talk more in depth in a side conversation. Kent Rooen

I have been involved in a multi company setup with a Jersey based holding
company, Head Office in UK, and 3 other companies, one in Netherlands, one
in Belgium and one in Poland. These last three consolidating to one
consolidation company, then that consolidating to the HO and then finally to
the Jersey based Co. Happy to discuss further offline if you wish

We are running Multi Company as well. 7 companies, one German (distribution facility) 6 domestic with one manufacturing, one assembly, one service center 2 real estate and one holding company (which everything gets consolidated to).
Our experiences have been mixed and we are not completely up and running especially with the consolidations where we encountered some serious Sonic issues.(prompting us to move away from sonic processing in 607b)
