# Any danger in disabling Session Manager in the .mfgsys file? **Category:** [Vista/Vantage 8](https://www.epiusers.help/c/vantage-8/8) **Created:** 2016-10-04 13:09 UTC **Views:** 558 **Replies:** 0 **URL:** https://www.epiusers.help/t/any-danger-in-disabling-session-manager-in-the-mfgsys-file/35674 --- ## Post #1 by @ckrusen There is a setting in the .MfgSys file that allows the Session Manger to be disabled. Any reason this would be a bad idea? I ask, because occasionally users get disconnected, and their remote session gets hung up because SessionManager.exe is still running. We're on V8.03.409C, and all users use it via a published Web App (Microsoft's version of Citrix, I think).
