Any issues with inserting CHGLOG rows with t-sql?

Not if you do it properly and simulate what the front end would produce.
Just be extremely careful with the KeyX fields and the LogText field.
Frankly, I'm a maverick and I don't believe I'd even do INSERTs on this
table.
