Peter,
If you run your own DNS (domain name server) you can add an entry for
login.oscar.aol.com and point it to a bogus IP address. When AIM attempts
to resolve the IP address it will find your bogus entry (instead of going
out to the internet to find the real one) and will not be able to connect.
If your ISP is running DNS for you, ask them what they can do to help.
Chances are you would not be the first one to ask the question.
Good luck!

Does anyone know of a way to block or stop the use of AOL Instant
Messenger
without using any special software/hardware product to do so? Can
something
be setup within Internet Explorer to block this site? Thanks.
