In Vantage 5.2 the AP discount is not calculated against a miscellaneous
charge. Epicor support says that this has now been fixed in 6.0, but did
not state which release. Their fix is to create a manual override
calculation.
In most companies, the person entering the Invoice is not always the one who
determines whether a check will be cut in time to take the discount. Epicor
is adding a manual, time consuming (it adds up) step to a process that
should be automated. Not automated also means risk of error.
In the mean time Epicor's customer's are loosing money because the discount
is not being calculated correctly.
