APM Blank Title 74232

Agreed with previous places to start first.

Regarding your other question. You can have the from email address be set dynamically. You need to add another property to your document type and then capture the from email address that you want to you. Then you can go to Routing Lists -> Find the Routing list you are using -> Click the routing lists groups tab -> select the appropriate group, click edit -> go to email options tab -> check the use Custom return email and check the box that says "when present use the value of the specified Property for the return email address." Here select the property you just setup from the drop down and you should get what you want.

I am trying to set up a new document for APM. I disabled my ERM
service, but when I print they just sit in the spool as SHD & SPL
files. I recall when I was setting them up before that an image file
should have been created. We set up our Electronic Remit. & it has
been working. Now I try to capture that with ERM & it also just sits
as the SHD & SPL. Its been a while did I forget a step?
Working from memory (dangerous, I know)
After you disable ERM and print document, you need to run DLEMF tool to
convert SPL file to tiff so you can then set document field locations.
Once you have all that set up, you re-enable ERM to process spooled jobs

You have to go into the tool and convert it to a .tiff document.

We have a shortcut on our desktop called DLEMFTool21.exe that you use to
convert the spool files to a .tiff. Then you should be able to go into the
APM administrator and map the fields.

Let me know if you need any other help.

I now have the new document set up & it just keeps sitting in
Pending until it times out for exceeding maximum tries to process
file. Normally if I was off in my selections it would say it is not
recognized.

If you check the properties of the failed document in the pending folder
under the Rejects tab what is the reason it gives for failing?

I would stop the ERM Service and go back and re-map all of my fields for
this document. Make sure that doclink is looking for an EMF file instead
of a text or PCL file. That should be found on the configurations tab
of the document's properties. I have experienced funny behavior when
dealing with the PCL or text file. Does this make sense?

Tried that a couple times. I cannot even get a simple test word
doc to process either. The standard forms are working fine so
obviously I am doing something wrong.

[Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
Yes, I am actually only trying to Index 2 fields. One is an email
the email & the other is customer ID. They are both in the page
header of the crystal report. I put in a call to Epicor to see what
they have to say. Sometimes the APM seems so sensitive.

I've had many battles with APM functionality. Here is what I do when
creating a new document for APM.

I send the document to APM and let it fail.

I go to the Rejected folder in APM to make sure that is where the
document ended up.

I then open the actual "reject" folder on the server. Here is our path
\\Server Name\ERMPrint\Reject

The failed document should be in here. I right click and "send to" My
Documents

I then open the DLEMFT tool on my desktop. I browse for the document
that I just sent to My Documents

Once the document is my DLEMFT tool I convert it to a Tiff document

Next I go to Doclink Administrator\Document Types and open the document
that I am trying to create.

Click on the ERM Configuration Tab and click on the Configure button.

It opens on the ERM Options tab. Make sure Input is EMF then hit the
configure button.

Click edit until you have to locate a document at which point you would
navigate to the document you had just converted into a Tiff file

Here I capture the Document Identifier. Hit OK until you are back at
the properties screen for this document.

Next click on the ERM Properties tab and capture your email and Customer
ID fields.

Click ok until you are back at the Doclink Administrator.

Now stop and restart your Doclink ERM service and resend the document.

Is this the same procedure you are following?

Thanks,

Blake Clemens

Yes, I am actually only trying to Index 2 fields. One is an email
the email & the other is customer ID. They are both in the page
header of the crystal report. I put in a call to Epicor to see what
they have to say. Sometimes the APM seems so sensitive.

[Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
Tried this exact procedure a couple time but still nothing. I
placed a call with Epicor last week but have not heard from them.
What printer driver are you using for the ERM printer? I am
wondering if that has anything to do with my issues.

The driver we're using is "HP LaserJet 5".

Tried this exact procedure a couple time but still nothing. I
placed a call with Epicor last week but have not heard from them.
What printer driver are you using for the ERM printer? I am
wondering if that has anything to do with my issues.

[Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
I uploaded a document I made when I setup APM to the files section.

The doc goes through the steps for setting up documents, using the EMF
Config Tool, and selecting email and fax info off the docs.

Thansk for the input, but it is all fine if making mods to an
existing document from Vantage. It is custom reports that I am
having issues with. In theory it should all be the same. I follow
the same steps, just when I create a new document type it does not
work.

I feel for you. This is frustrating and I guarantee to you when you
find out what is wrong it will be the simplest thing. I wish I could
see your server.

Sorry, I have not read the entire thread...

Did you make new routing lists and new document types for the report
and setup the document type, email and/or fax fields?

The document has the properties of CustomerID, Primary Email
address & Customer. They are all set up in the ERM config. The
document also has a routing set up & is set to the Dynamic Primary
Routing with only email selected. The EMF config tool can read all
3 of the items exactly as they appear on the form. I guess I am
going to take a standard form that is working & try to recreate from
scratch using all the same settings to see what I get.
