I've had many battles with APM functionality. Here is what I do when
creating a new document for APM.
I send the document to APM and let it fail.
I go to the Rejected folder in APM to make sure that is where the
document ended up.
I then open the actual "reject" folder on the server. Here is our path
\\Server Name\ERMPrint\Reject
The failed document should be in here. I right click and "send to" My
Documents
I then open the DLEMFT tool on my desktop. I browse for the document
that I just sent to My Documents
Once the document is my DLEMFT tool I convert it to a Tiff document
Next I go to Doclink Administrator\Document Types and open the document
that I am trying to create.
Click on the ERM Configuration Tab and click on the Configure button.
It opens on the ERM Options tab. Make sure Input is EMF then hit the
configure button.
Click edit until you have to locate a document at which point you would
navigate to the document you had just converted into a Tiff file
Here I capture the Document Identifier. Hit OK until you are back at
the properties screen for this document.
Next click on the ERM Properties tab and capture your email and Customer
ID fields.
Click ok until you are back at the Doclink Administrator.
Now stop and restart your Doclink ERM service and resend the document.
Is this the same procedure you are following?
Thanks,
Blake Clemens

Yes, I am actually only trying to Index 2 fields. One is an email
the email & the other is customer ID. They are both in the page
header of the crystal report. I put in a call to Epicor to see what
they have to say. Sometimes the APM seems so sensitive.
