Application opening minimized

It sounds like you can get the screen to display you want in the new system.


Therefore, I would suggest that you try this in the new system:

Turn on Developer Mode

Launch the screen,

Change the size and location to how you want it.

From the Tools menu select Save Layouts, 

From the Tools menu select Customization,

Once in Customization mode recompile and save.

Close out of the Customization and the screen.


Turn off Developer Mode

Restart the screen


You should be all set. You may need to get rid of any personalization on the screen's customization first.

a.       I can R-Click the Order Entry and Maximize it and see that the customization worked. But can’t get the Application to open maximized.

Oddly enough, I have the same issue with Order Entry.  I have deleted the personalization but I always have to maximize the Order Entry.  I have seen that on antoher user as well.

I customized on my computer that has two monitors. I go to the source test server that I am working on and the screen is hidden also.

It runs on my other monitor on my two screen computer.

All right. I am going to try to explain this. Working off of Joe Englert comment.

 

Here is what I did:

1.       Open the customization

2.       Select the  *****Form

3.       Change the anchor to none

4.       Save the customization

5.       Close the application

6.       Reopen the application

7.       <Hopefully> It opened and did not have to be maximized.

8.       Then Open the customizations

9.       Make appropriate changes to Anchor and location.  I just move the application directly and sized appropriately.

10.   Save again.

11.   Export / Import to new system successfully.

I did this once. So I don’t know if it is reproducible. So do this on a test system first.

Maybe we aren't on the same page. So, just to be sure, are you opening the customization maintenance screen from the utilities folder and loading your customization there?

I could not find a custom Data tab in Customization Maintenance.

This is not opening the form directly, this is using the Customization Maintenance Utililty.

 

From the Utilities Menu Group, open Customization Maintenance.

Press the Name Button.  Search for your customization.

From The actions menu, choose Show Custom Data

Go to the Properties Tab.  Find the Form.Left property.

Change it, hit Save Data.

Clear the client cache and relaunch the form
