Application Server Configuration - Stuck in Field

I am upgrading our environment from 10.1 to 10.2 this weekend and I am currently trying to Register an Existing Application Server (pages 18 & 19 of the upgrade guide). I can select any of my app servers, select the necessary setting in the .Net Tcp Endpoint Binding field, but then my cursor is stuck in this field and I cannot get out to click Register. I cannot click out, and I can’t tab out, nor does any other keyboard press.

It does not matter what option I pick, including None. I can only force it closed with Task Manager. I can go back in and select an option in the Http or Https dropdown and the same behavior occurs. I uninstalled and reinstalled the Admin Console and that did not help.

Has anyone ever seen this? Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get past this? I have no avenue to support since we do not have the Premier level of support so I’m hoping someone checking their e-mail can give some guidance.

Curious here, but could it be one of those issues where a dialogue box does not get the focus and it is hidden behind the main form?

I don’t know the cause as I never found a dialogue box that did not get focus. I ended up going to Actions in that same Window and selecting Create Setup Config file. When that window opened, I canceled out of it and I could then click the Register button and then move forward with Deploying the App Server at 10.2.200.

Travis,

I ran into the exact same issue and only way around was the path you found by acting like I was going to define a file and hitting cancel to get back out to the main screen which then unlocked it. Got past it that way and haven’t seen it again.
