Ever since the most recent update we’ve been unable to preview modifications made through the Application Studio in Kinetic. I’ve been working in Third trying to test out new modifications, but without being able to preview them I can’t tell if they’re working.
Has anyone else had this issue? How did you solve it?
Run your application in the browser, and preview works fine. (work-around)

The Browser preview will be in another tab (so make sure you allow popups), and then close the tab when you are done with the preview. This way you can jump back an forth between application studio and the preview (by switching tabs).

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: In Kinetic 2021.2.1, the following issues were reported for the Application Studio Preview Icon:
If a Kinetic Customization is deployed to a Kinetic Menu, and Application Studio is run for that Kinetic App, the Preview Icon will Preview the Deployed Kinetic Customization, instead of the Kinetic Customization selected in Application Studio.
If User Preference > “Form To Use” is set to Classic, selecting a Kinetic Customization in Application Studio, and then selecting the Preview Icon, the “Classic” Menu will launch (and in some cases, the Classic System Monitor Form).

In the end we got around the issue by making sure that we were only launching application studio from un-customized applications. In a few cases that meant that we had to remove the customization while we edited it, but in the end we were able to make it work.
